Release Notes

A chronological record of system updates, measurement changes, and interface improvements to the Ethical Audio Analysis platform.
Changes are documented to preserve transparency and traceability.

v0.6.0 — January 2026

New capabilities

  • Integrated loudness analysis based on ITU-R BS.1770, including gated measurement for improved consistency.
  • Tonal balance comparison against user-provided or curated reference material.

Improvements

  • Increased numerical stability of FFT analysis for short or transient-heavy audio excerpts.
  • Reduced processing time for long stereo files through internal pipeline optimizations.

Fixes

  • Corrected true-peak overshoot detection on certain sample-rate and oversampling combinations.
  • Fixed a visual alignment issue in the stereo width visualization.

Notes

This release prioritizes measurement reliability and interpretive clarity. The system does not apply processing, suggest stylistic choices, or automate creative decisions. All feedback is derived from explicit measurements and documented comparisons.

v0.5.3 — December 2025

  • Improved error handling for unsupported or malformed audio codecs.
  • Minor UI performance optimizations across analysis views.
  • Internal refactor of the analysis pipeline (no user-visible changes in results).

Measurements are continuously validated against published standards and reference material. Feature availability may vary by plan. Historical results are not retroactively modified unless explicitly stated in these notes.
